On-Course, Competitive Programs - The Next Step
If you and your junior golfer have been in our programs for a few seasons and they are ready to take the next step into competitive golf this summer, there are two very good options: the Hootie & the Blowfish Chapter Program by the SCJGA and the PGA Junior League.

The Hootie & the Blowfish Chapter Program
Also known as the Summer Tournament Series, this great program is designed to give juniors a fun experience and possibly an introduction to competitive individual stroke play events. Juniors are grouped into divisions by gender and age ranging from 8 years old up to 18 years old. These tournaments are held on Monday mornings at local Greenville area courses. This program is ONLY meant for juniors that are ready to play their own ball in a competitive setting and by the strict rules of golf.

The Greenville Chapter is run by Robbie Gravley. The 2021 Summer season starts in mid-June and runs until early Aug. For more information, please click on the link below.

The PGA Junior League
This has become one of the hottest things in junior golf across America. Think of this as a competitive and slightly different version of our Team Series program. Kids are put onto teams and play matches against other teams in a captains choice format. Teams are captained by a golf professional at a local golf club and parents are invited to watch but are NOT permitted to caddie. This is a great next-level program for families that have participated in the Family Team Series but are not quite ready for individual competition.
Most PGA Junior League teams have closed their registration for the summer season. This registration period usually ends at the end of April. But click on the link below to learn more about the PGA Junior League and you might be able to find an open spot on a Greenville area team.
